Home Blood Pressure How Accurate Are At-home Blood Pressure Monitors?

How accurate are at-home blood pressure monitors? - home blood pressure

I have an automatic blood pressure monitor that I bought today) (Homedics brand and I tried. The reading I got was 121/73, when I usually 140/88 (in this area) using the Rite-Aid. I have even read recently in the hospital later than what I have today. Is there an in-house, inaccurate, or that I am much more calm and relaxed at home, I'm in the emergency room / shop?

  1. Mercury manometers are as the "gold standard" of measurement because the measurement is absolute and must be calibrated not new. For this reason, even in the clinical trials of drugs and clinical evaluation of blood pressure in patients at high risk, such as pregnant women need.
Monitor digital blood pressure can sometimes inaccurate reading, but it is easy to use, even in noisy environments.
